FG DECLARES MONDAY AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The federal government of Nigeria has declared Monday, 16th September 2024 as public holiday, to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Malwid – the birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (May his soul rest in peace).

In a statement signed by Minister of Interior, Dr Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo on behalf of the government, the federal government congratulates all Muslims at home and in the Diaspora.

Dr Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo urged the Muslims to imbibe the virtues of the Holy Prophet Mohammad, and used the occasion of his birthday to pray for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria.
